Porcelain
A tile that is dense, frost proof, harder than natural stone due to its extremely high firing temperatures. Some porcelain products may need sealing, please see our sealing and cleaning guide.
Limestone ( Calcium Carbonate )
Limestone is a sedatory rock that is made from the mineral calcite which came from the beds of evaporated seas and lakes, and from sea animal shells.
Marble ( Hard Limestone )
Marble is a stone used by ancient civilisations and comes in many colours with a contrasting vain running through it.
Sandstone ( Compacted Sand )
Sandstone is sedimentary rocks made from small grains of the minerals Quartz and Feldspar. They often form in layers and have a granular surface.
Slate.
Compact, fine grained rock formed by the effects of heat and pressure on shale, and its natural cleft surface gives it a rough appearance.
Travertine.
Travertine is formed by minerals dissolving in ground water and then being deposited on the earths surface by rivers, natural springs or geysers.
Terracotta ( Clay ).
Water, clay, slate and fire are the elements of nature used in the manufacturing process for these tiles, making them a natural, environmentally friendly product.
