Crack Isolation Matting is designed to decouple tiles from unstable backgrounds such as floor boards, wyroc and other substrates which are prone to movement and shrinkage. Cracks and joints that appear in the substrate can not transfer through the matting, therefore no cracked tiles or grout.
With only a thickness of approximately 4mm, no step is created as with 12mm Plywood which is the recommended thickness to be used when tiling. It can be used with undertile heating systems, both waterfed and electric systems.
Isolation matting can be used as part of a waterproof tanking system.
Isolation matting is sold per m2, A full roll consists of 30m2.
